On Saturday, May 1, the Ophthalmic Medical Personnel Program at Caldwell Community College participated in an event to provide eye exams and free glasses for children at the Mt. Sinai-McCreary Community Center. Faith Race, Program Director, and Mikayla Grogan, student, attended the event and assisted with the screenings of 25 children between the ages of 4-17, 20 of which were fitted for glasses. The event was sponsored by the Long View Lions Club and Treasures Vision. A local optometrist administered the exams.
