Palm Beach State College

New Building

Exam Room

Despite COVID-19 shutting down our live classes, the construction and completion of our new educational facility, The Center for Innovation in Health Science for the Ophthalmic Medical Technology Program at Palm Beach State College, reached completion.

We have all our furnishings, equipment, diagnostic, and examination equipment installed, and it is now just awaiting our arrival, if and when it is safe to do so.

The building increases our previous space by ten-fold to more than 12,000 square feet and features two classrooms, one laboratory classroom, three special procedure rooms, three examination rooms, a completely equipped preoperative area, scrub area with changing room, and operating room, three faculty offices, student commons, kitchen, outdoors study area with tables, and covered areas for lounging and recreation. This one-of-a-kind facility boasts a state-of-the-art AV system with flat screen monitors, ceiling speakers, and built-in microphones in every room, allowing audio-visual links between rooms for educational purposes.

It will be nothing short of amazing.
